Steven Seagal- The Legend Keeps Growing
61
When he’s not ripping bad guy’s throats out or busting drug dealers in New Orleans, Steven Seagal is teaching the world’s most dangerous men to become even more deadly. After tranquilly escorting Anderson “Spider” Silva through the cut-throat mob at UFC 126, he calmly stood by as arguably the best pound for pound fighter in the world, front kicked Vitor Belfort with a shot heard round the world. As Silva gave credit to Steven for teaching him how to perform the knockout kick, Seagal scanned the scene for any terrorist threats or crack dealers. Always careful to wear his yellow tinted shooting glass, never knowing when he might have to pull out his carefully hidden SMG and defend freedom once again. One would believe this story couldn’t get any better, but wait, The Legend keeps growing.
That brings us to Lyoto “the Dragon” Machida. He has lighting fast reflexes and furious striking ability. With sensational knockouts of Thiago Silva and “Suga” Rashad Evans, he became a light-heavyweight world champion. Then after being dominated by “Shogun” Rua twice,(except in the eyes of some blind judges) he found himself down and out, wondering in a stacked division. Then in walked a guiding light, self proclaimed “ex-CIA covert black ops trained specialist” Steven Seagal.
After being privy to the training of Anderson “Spider” Silva, the Dragon knew this man could give him the knowledge he so desperately longed for. After months of top secret training sessions from the aikido expert, The Dragon was ready.
Cue the next victim. Randy Couture, MMA legend. Being no stranger himself to crime fighting, having worked alongside Sly Stallone and the man that killed “Apollo”, Dolph Lundgren. Not even knowing that Rambo himself would be able to save him in this fight.
The night began like a normal UFC PPV event. People at home with their buddies eagerly awaiting the carnage of the night. Over grown boys in attendance guzzling beer and wearing giant foam fists of fury. Everyone anticipating the main event, but unknowingly, Seagal and the “Dragon” plotted the demise of Cap’t Americas career.
When Machida’s entrance music started and he began to walk out, he had his ace up his sleeve. Seagal, emotionless, escorted him through mayhem of the crazed fans. As always, wearing his ultra secret government issued x-ray vision shooting glasses. Steven kept his fighter ready for battle.
Now we all know how the rest goes. Machida delivered a karate kick to the legends face, and ended a hall of fame career. In the end who did the “Dragon” give props to? Ralph Macchio? No… Mr. Miyagi? No...Steven Seagal!!
So what do we take away from this tale of international espionage, top secret training, and good over coming evil? That Under Siege should of won 10 Oscars? No. That Seagal should be studied in top labs to find out if we can bottle his mojo? Well yes , but that’s not the answer were looking for. Then what is it? O of course, The Legend Keeps Growing!
Stay tuned fight fans for the next installment we know is coming.
